EARLY LEARNING – The Australian Early Development Census Data Collection (AEDC)
The next Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) data collection will occur in Term 2, between 1 May and 5 July 2024, across all NSW schools.
The AEDC School Leader Pack has all the information you need to activate your school and plan for the AEDC data collection. School Leader packs were due to arrive in schools via post by Wednesday 13th March. There has been a delay in the delivery of packs to all schools. The packs should arrive in the coming days. However, if your school does not receive anything from the AEDC by Term 1, Week 10, please contact Bridie Stanger (bridie.stanger@mn.catholic.edu.au).
Additional online support
Also available for all schools are AEDC ‘drop in’ sessions (hosted by the NSW Department of Education) which are available in Term 2. The ‘drop in’ sessions are a series of optional support webinars to support schools with the 2024 AEDC. Schools will be given the opportunity to ask experts any questions about AEDC including:
- data collection activities
- key dates
- available professional learning
- school profile interpretation and engagement
- questions
