Socktober is one of Catholic Mission’s largest national fundraising initiatives, inviting students in Catholic schools across Australia to ‘kick goals’ and raise funds for vulnerable communities. Through the universal language of soccer, Socktober empowers students to take action against poverty while engaging their school and local communities. To officially begin our Diocesan efforts towards launching Socktober 2025, Catholic Mission and Religious Education & Spirituality will co-host a Mass, presided by Bishop Michael Kennedy. The Socktober Launch Mass will be held at St Joseph’s Church East Maitland on Thursday 18 September at 11:30am.
